Battlefield 2142 has an unlock system that allows the player to choose a new unlock every time they achieve a new rank instead of forcing the player to purchase items.A booster pack called Northern Strike contains new maps, unlocks, and vehicles; a deluxe edition was released that contains Battlefield 2142 and Northern Strike.As outlined on the official Battlefield website, the Winter Update sees the return of ribbons from past Battlefield games.Additionally, Class Rank caps have jumped from 10 to 50, and you can earn new stuff for reaching your max class rank.There are 20 different Ribbons to collect, and each time you get a Ribbon you also receive a 300XP.The Ribbons are designed to promote good teamplay and playing the objective.- Fixed the server browser issues with updating info.

The Winter Update, as it's called, should be in the area of 2 GB and is rolling out today across Xbox One, Play Station 4, and PC.
